However, apparently people were donating thousands of dollars to help people who made bad decisions pay for their house. And others were giving tens of thousands of dollars to help girls pay for new breasts and plastic surgery.
This got my partner and I thinking. We've been together for about 8 years and for the past 3 or so, ever since our best friend had twins, have wanted to adopt. However, adopting is expensive, with legal fees, home visits, finding a big enough apartment, adoption costs, etc. And since we live in New York City and both have student loans (MBA and Ph.D.) but work in low paying jobs (higher ed and non-profit) we thought, maybe if people will pay for boobs they'd help us get the $10,000 we need to adopt.
And thus, this website. We'll fill it in as we go. We hope you decide to donate. If you do, please be assured this is only to help us adopt. If, for whatever reason we do not adopt, we'll send the money to orphans in Armenia via the Fund for Armenian Relief (www.farusa.org), which is a highly respected 4-star charity.
